Treatment and Services

Services available to the client will be as follows :-

(1) Introductory Interview
For men who wish to discuss the relevance of the andropause and its treatments to themselves before deciding whether they wish to proceed with a full assessment and treatment options.

(2) Full Assessment Programme
This includes an extended consultation, history taking, assessment and clinical examination by medical personnel. Blood and urine samples are taken for a full laboratory profile including detailed hormone analysis, prostate specific antigen test, biochemistry, haematology, and urine chemistry. On the same day, or at a later appointment, these results are discussed with the patient and recommendations made for treatment and follow-up appointments.
The programme enables the patient's clinical data to be presented on-screen as a continuing graph representation so that both doctor and patient can view his progress from appointment to appointment.

These may include prostate ultrasound and biopsy, scanning or other radiological tests

(5) A full diagnostic report to the patient's doctor, based on the above tests, interview and examination with recommendations for treatment and/or referral on as appropriate (unless patients specifically ask for their GP not to be contacted when a summary report will be sent to the patient unless the patient requests other arrangements to be made).
